I’ve followed Rachel on social media accounts forever. Anytime I would see her out and about(shoutout to Bluewater), she would just flash that happy little smile and continue to buzz around speaking to everyone. Literally everyone. She has this spirit about her. It’s contagious. So inviting, refreshing and calming.

When she messaged me about wanting to do a boudoir session, I believe I literally said “HELL YES!” I’d never done one before but I am always so eager to learn something new, I was so in! I got my “studio” set up and practiced with my daughters teddy bears and the tv remote- what?

The day came and went off with a BANG! This spunky little thing knocked on my door wearing bright red lip stick, an oversized sweater and carrying some black pumps. Can ya imagine what the landscape guys were thinking next door? Ahh hah!

I asked Rachel to type up a little bio of her journey so yall grab a glass of wine and enjoy!

“If I could tell 18 year old me I’d be posting pictures years later in a bodysuit and red lipstick, she would have laughed. But honestly, I never would’ve thought I would be where I am today. The time in between the past few years has been a roller coaster ride of emotions and changes, but I think it’s proof that no matter what you go through you can always come out on top. Losing 100 pounds is easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done… but it’s also the best decision I’ve ever made. As much of a physical change 100 pounds is, you’d be amazed at the mental change that happens too. Along with weight loss came an abundance of self love and an obsession with taking care of myself. Coming from a place of self doubt, insecurity, and fear — one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that loving you, in all seasons, will get your further than hating you.”
